Friday, February 10, 2012 - This bottle was a wedding present and was meant to be drunk on our 10th anniversary. Well, the wine was clearly in its final stage, but once it had about 2 hours to breathe it opened up and gave its final gasp. Hints of cassis, licorice and rich fruit led into a delicate palate of great complexity and an oh so smooth finish with the silky remnants of an old body. CLearly past its prime, this must have been a lovely wine a few years ago.
