Thursday, October 25, 2018 - Taste North Canterbury 2018 (Christchurch, New Zealand): Very dark ruby-red colour, exquisitely dense and concentrated. Nose of violets, leather and chocolate. Palate is rich, opulent with velvety ripe cherries and plums, savoury tannins, complex and layered. Finishes long, with caramel and chocolate. An experiment, from a single Abel clone, and a lovely wine.
