Community Tasting Note

Sunday, October 3, 2010 - Medium ruby with brick-red flanks. Regional nose. Obvious oak, but not overdone. Earthy. The fruit seems modest for the vintage and there is a sense of dried-out weeds. Fortunately, these vegetal notes disappear and the ripeness of the vintage begins to show through on the nose. Fullish body. The oak has a lesser impact on the palate than the nose suggests. Initially, a bit lean for the vintage and a bit loose at the finish, but develops positively to show an increased concentration of fruit and a nice sweetness mid-palate. Very good.
