Thursday, August 30, 2007 - Interesting, but hardly earthshattering. I was looking for something 'different' and, while I liked the Vernaccia taste (pears?), I think I'll buy a bottle of Vernaccia di San Gimigniano in the future instead of this. The Chardonnay (unoaked, it seemed) was boring to me, there wasn't much nose, and while pleasant, this isn't a wine for which I feel the price is justified. Then again, I'm a cheap novelty-seeker. Medium-bodied, pale amber-green, wet stones, pears, and very faint citrus flavors. I couldn't make out a distinct nose on it.
