Saturday, April 6, 2024 - Another Wine gathering at RJ’s; 4/4/2024-4/7/2024 (Palmetto Bluff, South Carolina): Served blind. Intense dark color. Expressive nose displaying ripe concentrated black fruit, blackberry concentrate, licorice, cedar, ink, coffee, dark spices and earth. Excellent concentration, generous ripe black fruit, rich and slightly rustic, bright acidity, earthy mineral, noticeable tannins and a medium to long concentrated ripe black fruit driven finish with latte at the end. This is a big scale wine that needs another decade or two.
