Thursday, February 7, 2019 - Medium-deep gold with very minuscule fine bubbles giving it just a little bit of life left. Caramel apple, honey roasted almond nose. Candied orange peel, Meyer lemon tart, honey marshmallow. The sweet nose is a little deceiving as the palate is still dry but with a little sweet and richness coming from the age. Opened for a ‘86 birthday...a bit hard to drink as a “cheers” but certainly worth saving the rest to go with cake or desert.
