Tuesday, April 28, 2015 - Dark red, approaching garnet. Not intense but typical Barolo aromas and flavours, mostly earthy. High level of not-astringent tannins, just right acidity and alcohol level (label-14%). All reasonably balanced. Nice body, moderate length and complexity. It's lost some of the austerity of same vintage opened some years ago, but still not a charming wine. Slow-ox in bottle for several hours; also tasted next day. R likes it more than me and gives it 90+.
