Monday, January 11, 2021 - Obviously very young but wanted an early look at 17 Bize 1ers while the 17s are still in this charming phase. An airy and cool mountain like nose with some rose petal that softens the slightly stern profile. A bit bundled up on the palate, fruit leaning dark cranberry and very mineral like iron but again soft at the edges with a rose water like subtle perfume. Charming but buttoned up, still showing some flourish. Excited for Bize 17s, a bit more old school than the previous few vintages.
