Not hugely intense on the nose but with clear blackcurrant and blackberry fruit, smells very pure - sweet without veering towards jammy, hints of oak. Medium bodied on the palate, initially sweet - lots of blackcurrant and cherry fruit, there is a definite acidic, slightly bitter, green streak running through the mid -palate which is also a little hollow. The aftertaste is nice however with a lingering warm currant flavour. Very nice - could have gone a few years longer with improvement.
