Monday, April 26, 2010 - Decanted about 1.5 hours, lot of sediment. Light ruby, showing some orange/coppery hue signs of age. Initially I was getting what I thought were some oxidized notes from this one, along with sour cherry and some funky earthy notes. By the end of the bottle this was coming around some more, less oxidized notes, but never turned into anything special.. a bit too sour. Was ok, can't complain for the $20 price tag, but perhaps I can see why this was blown out now.. will hold one bottle for a few more years to see how it progresses, and will drink the other sooner rather than later.
