90 Points

Friday, July 9, 2010 - Crimson color with bricking toward the edges. Rustic, earthy nose of dried leaves, black tea and dried cherries. Not a ton of fruit on the palate but some nice plum and tart cherry flavors coming through along with more earthy mushroom driven flavors. Nice acidity made this a great food wine and the price point made it a strong buy. Finish was short though. This is perfect barolo to drink with pizza when you don't want to open something more expensive.
