Friday, January 21, 2011 - 2 hour decant. nose is rather closed but a mild earthy funk followed by cherries still comes through. On the palate, there is still plenty of dark fruit on the palate. the tannins are mild and chewy but still present. long finish and enjoyable wine, even if it isn't what I would call a typical barolo.
