Friday, May 6, 2011 - Very rustic in both color (dark with some bricking) and on the nose. I wasn't getting the normal floral aromas, it was king of funky. The taste was more like what I would expect. Very big flavors of cherries and strawberries. Good transition from the mid-palate to a dry finish. Still has plenty of time left and perhaps the nose will come to life. Right now, not the most complex Barolo but for the price, it is well worth it.
