Friday, February 23, 2024 - I am a Carlisle fan but this one was a miss for me. Blueberry and cherry, dark tart red fruits palated in a very extracted and saturated full bodied and concentrated wine. The acid is high but disjointed from the wine somehow, lacking any real secondary characteristics, very punchy and jammy. Ok wine. Fruit and sweetness calmed down a bit the second day but was replaced with a hotter, more tannin driven finish. Just didn't come together.

2/23/2024 12:51:00 PM - Thanks for the note! Haven't gotten to the 17's yet but I'm sure it's just a reflection of the vintage. Guess they can't all be aces, ha!

2/24/2024 11:05:00 AM - I've consumed quite a few and Hartford has been at the top of the list. They did incredibly well in a challenging vintage. I also loved the Bedrock Sky Vineyard as a barrel sample but have not opened a bottle yet as I prefer significant age on those. Cheers!
