Tuesday, August 26, 2008 - Let it settle either in the glass, or a decanter. A slight chill serves the wine well as well.

Aroma of deep, dark, fruit. Cherries, a hint of cola. The smell fills your nose, makes you bury your face in your glass to get every last whiff. The taste does not live up to the aroma at all. It has the puckering tannins and intensity of a petite sirah, but it lacks a depth of flavor, or really any flavor. If you drink it as it warms from a cellar, the taste is appealing enough, but the thick, chalky, mouthcoating sensation of a PS is not backed up by much from the flavor department.

Good rating based purely on the aroma, though the taste is not bad.
