Monday, September 10, 2007 - edgey dark purple color- very similar to other 2005's I've tried. The nose is a combination of earth tones and ripe plummy cherries- another elegant 2005 that is somewhat reminiscent of gamay on the nose. The palate is somewhat closed, with firm ripe tannins, plenty of acidity and very good length and concentration. I really liked this- will hold for 5 years before opening again.
