Thursday, December 23, 2010 - PnP (3 nights). Dark reddish violet. Nose is forward, showing cherry/cranberry fruit, musky spices, and some stone/mineral. Palate dominated by round dark fruit, though it has acidity and soft tannins, it lacks tension. Complexity hinted at on the nose, not well expressed on palate. Very nice flavors, but a bit simple; saved by great balance. Held up well on nights 2 and 3.
