Thursday, June 14, 2007 - certainly a different take on occidental fruit when compared to kistler. i can't say i'm too enamored by it, despite my friendship with thomas brown, whom i admire. i've spent the entire night swirling, sipping, evaluating, trying to embrace this...but i can't. it lacks nuance, and is more like an anvil on your head than a wine of interesting constitution. if you want something that is big, bold, alcoholic, and simple, be my guest. too young? not really; something should be showing in the present. i'm going to hold all my R-M pinots...i've got nothing to lose. but, i've been grossly disappointed with what i have been tasting in the bottle up to now (03-05).
