Friday, May 7, 2010 - Order has been restored. After an atrocious bottle of 1999 Sassicaia and two bad bottles of Alcina Pinot Noirs thanks to Neocork, this was definitely a welcome bottle. Even though my palate is more into Burgundy, this is still enjoyable. It is a powerful Cali PN but it isn't bordering on Syrah like some others. Whether you like powerful pinots or not, this does possess a silk like texture. Lots of dark cherry fruit. Not extremely nuanced, but with its nice fruit and lovely texture this wine is very enjoyable.
