Sunday, June 17, 2007 - We decanted for 7 hours before we tasted it. Even then the nose was subdued and hot. On the palate it was flavorful but pretty monolithic. About an hour later (after 8 hours in the decanter) it opened up in a big way -- strawberry and cherry, with a hint of cola, and increased sweetness. We never would have expected how good it would become when we first tasted it. Either leave it in the decanter all day or wait a year or two to open it.
