Tuesday, June 21, 2016 - Dark ruby, purple core. Hoppla, right off the bat when smelling the nose we knew that something special was coming. Complex and deep nose of dark fruit, barnyard, leather, pepper, herbs. Full bodied, structured and fresh on the palate, very complete and captivating. Still young in terms of the tannins, but these are ripem, not drying tannins. This wine serves as a reminder to some of the Barossa producers that density does not have to come at the price of elegance and freshness. Awesome showing tonight. A wow wine in every aspect. 98+
