Friday, July 21, 2023 - Friday Group Brown Bag Tasting (EBCC): Blind. A bit of bricking at the meniscus. Aromas of tobacco, black fruit and iodine. Medium-bodied and integrated. Flavors of black currant, Asian spices and herbs; has a pleasant franc/greenish quality about it, something along the lines of roasted bell pepper. I did not pick this out as our Les Pavots, instead mistaking it for a 2000 St. Julien.

This had been double decanted off its sediment and back under cork 2.75 hours before the flight was poured.
