Saturday, November 2, 2013 - Aerated to decanter at noon, served at 8pm, double-blind. IIRC, the last time I had this was in 2006. Honestly, I don't think it's budged since then. Even with 8 hours in decanter, this is still very tightly coiled. Pure, and pretty, but not a lot of typicity, just some leather, cherry and loads of brutal tannins. The bottle/fill was in exc. condition, and if yours is too, I'd recommend opening it a full two days ahead. 13,5%, try again in 15-20 years with hopes that acids and tannins don't outlive the fruit.
