Wednesday, August 17, 2022 - Nose: Cassis with a nice stemmy greenness. Palate: Leathery and prickly mouthfeel from a combination of the tannins, oak and 14.5% ABV; barrel spice ad bitter licorice; dark blackberry and slate are present in the background. Unresolved tannins; less acid than I would expect from a Bordeaux (although I don't have a lot of experience with Pessac-Léognan). Tastes like a young and tannic well-made Napa cab to me.
