Friday, February 17, 2023 - Complex fruit profile of gooseberry, mirabelle and passion fruit. Finely integrated oak and fresh herbs build further volume while spicy high notes add a beautifully kick. Fine creamy layer on the texture, fresh acidity and decent breadth. Great attack, but with some slowdown in momentum towards the mostly citric finish. Very enjoyable today, but strongly suspect this to get (much) better with a few more years in the cellar. Interestingly, had a consistent experience with the 2017 vintage. Freshly bottled this came across somewhat muted and closed, but opened up notably after 2 years.
