Tuesday, November 23, 2021 - This Châteauneuf-du-Pape is relatively old-fashioned in style. It is not super-fruity, and its tannins are fairly crisp and firm, but the wine is still pleasant and refined on the palate. The wine reveals alluring and multidimensional notes of leather, smoke, tobacco, herbs, black pepper, ripe figs, plums, cherries and black berries. The overall character of this wine is dark, even "black". All in all, I can recommend this wine, and it will certainly evolve and improve even more during the years of cellaring.
