Monday, September 13, 2021 - Sometimes it’s time for something luscious, a bit over the top. This fit the bill without getting too extreme. The combination of Bevan exuberance with 2017 understatement made for a balanced, but still rich expression of Cabernet. Blackberry compote, baking spice and a Syrah-like road tar finish kept me coming back sip after sip, and glass after glass. It was just too easy to drink, which was exactly what I wanted!
