Sunday, February 13, 2022 - Long awaited acquaintance with this cult NZ producer. Wine was not fined nor filtered, then aged for 13 months in FR oak barriques (27% new). Medium pale ruby colour. Medium intensity aroma with great mineral backbone, notes of cherries, leather, stones, smoke, flint and mushroom hints. Medium body, feels fleshy, leathery and earthy with medium light density, bright acidity, mellow extra fine tannins and lengthy finish with a tat of bitterness.
