Wednesday, December 4, 2019 - Intense yet restrained Coombsville Cabernet from a very tiny vineyard. Great balance of ample acidity with 14.4% alcohol, coupled with obvious tannins. Will be stunning after all the elements meld together in 10 or more years. This is a typical Bill Cadman/Tulocay Cabernet, tho the wines are now being made by his daughter Brie.

12/4/2019 5:06:00 PM - Loved reading your review...it is obvious you have been to this winery.

When I visited, I recall the energy Brie had & the hug from Bill when I was leaving...passion like this is rare in Napa.

What do you think of their Zin?

12/4/2019 7:34:00 PM - Bill's — and now Brie's — Zins are always fantastic. The latest is a Napa Valley classic from off Zinfandel Lane in St. Helena. Too many Zins today are over-the-top. While Bill's 2017 is, like most, high in alcohol, it is at the same time restrained (as Zinfandel goes) and refined, yielding a Zin that complements rather than overpowers a meal.
