Thursday, August 2, 2012 - By the Glass at Osteria in Philadelphia. Beautiful orange hue. Deep and perfumed nose of airy strawberries, raspberries, honey, herbs, fried dough, nuts, citrus peel/rind. Great mouthfeel - again fresh berries, light, herbal aspects. Very full and red-wine like - smooth tannins and good acid. Lively. Citrus rind and stone fruit pit. Really something different and a surprise. Perfumed, light berry finish with good acid. Nose - 5/6, Palate - 5/6, Finish - 4.5/6, Je Ne Sais Quoi - 1.5/2 = 16/20.
