Medium bodied on the palate, with a much greater sense of sweetness than I prefer on my sparklers. Rich, medium-heavy; Red Delicious apple; short finish; 12.9% alc.. Overall, this wasn't bad; in fact, I'd even say "good" --- let's call it 85 – 87 points. It was quite accessible, which was nice, but it was just too heavy and sweet for me. The biggest problem here, however, is price --- this was released at $79, which is right in line with some very serious Champagnes, which, quite frankly, are better than this wine multiple times over for my palate. I think $30 - $35 for this would be appropriate, but I still wouldn't be a buyer because it's simply not my style.
