Tuesday, August 23, 2022 - Opened, poured into a decanter, and enjoyed with food (NY strip steak and some warmed up leftover paella, in case you were wondering).
Ruby color.
Wonderful nose of red berries and some spice notes. Slight hint of an herbal element.
Fresh red berries - cranberries and raspberries - with fresh and inviting acidity. Such elegance in the glass. Enjoyable floral note that hits on the midpalate.
Fresh and inviting. A lovely wine.

Quality cork with brand, vineyard and vintage.

Nota Bene - I have not been impressed with the Hirsch Bohan pinot bottling; perhaps it is the grapes from the graveyard block that raise the wine to another level.
