Saturday, October 23, 2010 - Light brown rim betrayed its age but otherwise still very dark. Notes of earth, tobacco, mushrooms, ink and evident horse made it easy to spot a Bordeaux in the blind tasting. The tannins were polished and the horsey flavour quite pronounced in the mouth which still showed some acidity. Not complex but still alive and kicking and drinkable as long as you like a little bit of stinky character. Probably another couple of years left in it.
