Strong flavor of apple with some quince and slightly too sweet for me but I love very dry Champgane, and this is not remotely mass market sweet. Tannins and slight bitter aftertaste make food pairing recommended. Decent balanced acidity. No way anyone could legit complain paying $20 in the US for this. My 90 rating does take the price into account. It is not a standout at $50 or even $35 given the extensive roster of sparkling available at those prices.
