Sunday, May 14, 1989 - With K at home at dinner (crab Genovese). Very deep yellow. Rather one dimensional aroma and flavor on opening. Buttery. Fat, flabby. Low in acid. Seems old before it's time, though not yet unpleasant. Obvious full body and weight, but without the fruit to match. 5-9-13-5: 82/100. Later, nose opening to reveal butterscotch. Still later, great nose of buttered popcorn, with lemony fruit in the mouth. 5-11-15-7: 88/100.
