Friday, December 10, 2021 - Meritage blend blind tasting with buddies, wine #3. Winery created by a couple from a financial industry hence the name of “laughing stock”. A blend of 48% Merlot, 32% CS, 14% CF, 4% Malbec, and 2% PV, aged for 20 months in FR oak (48% new). Deep garnet red, ruby hue. Intense aroma of blackcurrants, blackberries, balsamic, violets, dried tomatoes, tar, vanilla. Full body, rich black fruit flavours with chocolate and herbal notes, saline hints, soft tannins.
