Wednesday, November 1, 2023 - Could anything be more identifiable as Chinon to smell? Abundant, thick aromas of currants, framboise, pencils, stemmy spices, and smoldering gravel jam. Broad and darkly textured; cooled with stone and mint; leading to iron, tannic grip. Midway there's an insurgent bloom of intense lilac and violet. Finishes with alluring bitter baking chocolate and dappled creek. 2018 Barnabés is very drinkable, and ready to drink up.

Tastes great the next day, too. Amazing. Drenched with flavor. Briskly attenuated. Glossy ink.
