Saturday, September 13, 2014 - This is a really good producer for the money. I bought this wine many years ago and was so impressed, I aged it to see what it would taste like. While it was very pleasant, it really didn't improve after 5-6 years. Still soft on tannins, its medium bodied, decent acidity, with a nice finish but lacks some of the complex elements of an elite wine. It held up pretty well without decanting, showing some floral notes and typical central coast structure of black currant. Still impressive after 13 years, I think its very hard to beat in its price range but will not get any better with age.
