Thursday, December 31, 2020 - 2017 Vintage is IMO a departure from previous vintages. Definitely not as bold, much lighter (I’d say medium bodied), more red fruit, less balance (missing some of the acid needed to balance and complex the finish). Still a great wine to drink. I enjoyed it. But not quite the knockout that I’ve seen in previous vintages.
