Thursday, August 19, 2021 - Summer of 2021 Cornucopia of Wines (Dogwood Grove, Garezers, HHI): I have a soft spot for Chinon Blanc, having discovered and enjoyed it in France (not actually in Chinon, but Chinon is definitely worth checking out). This is a strong wine, with an anise element to it on the palate along with dried apricot notes that show on the palate and on the nose. Versatile, and could stand up to red meats or briny oysters.
