Sunday, September 26, 2010 - An explosion in the nose. A lot of toasted oak in the bouquet, but there is much more; a lot of tropical fruits, minerals like flint stone etc. On the palate a lot of smoky oak as well, beautiful citrus, also oranges, apricots, minerals etc. Everything is so youthful still. The finish is enormously long. What a great and complex wine with a lot of body, concentration and also elegance. No comparison with other Burgundy whites. Some of the best Californian chardonnays show the same concentration and luxury. I feel privileged I had the opportunity to drink this. I love this style. If you are lucky enough to have this; wait at least another 5+ years.
