Wednesday, May 31, 2023 - Much better versus the previous bottle from 2 1/2 years ago as the dominant butterscotch flavors have faded somewhat. However, it is still the primary upfront flavor with some yellow apple, ripe pear, and Meyer lemon sneaking into the mid-palate to provide some lift. Finish is slightly bitter, with the butter flavor re-emerging. Overall, not my style of CA chardonnay, but I tried to score objectively. (I prefer the style of Ramey). Drink now - 2025.
