Friday, March 15, 2024 - The wines from this producer have had incredible bottle variation. Not necessarily bad bottles but more a difference in how old the wine tastes meaning some bottles are more youthful and some tasting more mature. I see this because this bottle tastes much older than expected. Rusty brick color. All secondary and tertiary flavors and smells. Still alive and delicious but no more primary fruit, just typical old burgundy aromatics. Delicate earthy Smoky bouquet and flavors. Did not fall off over several hours. Still delicious but not unique anymore. Just more of an old burgundy taste. This may be a drink up situation and hopefully I will try another bottle soon. Hopefully this is just an abnormally older tasting bottle. Still excellent QPR and a bargain for what it was sold for originally.
