Saturday, May 3, 2014 - M Garnet-mahogany. Plenty of tertiary notes on the bouquet with sandalwood, undergrowth, fungi, dried herbs and some vague black fruits. The palate shows stewed and preserved rumtopf-style fruit, with gritty, slightly chalky texture, and plenty of acid brightness almost too lemon-edged. Very linear mid palate, with fine grainy tannins and great depth of flavour showing remarkably sprightly for 17 years old - touch of mint at the end.
