88 Points

Tuesday, November 12, 2019 - 9 barrels produced. 50% new oak. Many Chambolle Musigny I have tasted from 2018 tasted rich and masculine, very un-Chambolle-esque, this was one of them. A dark and complex array of ripe blackberries, concentrated cherry, earthy black truffles and deep-pitched spices. Full bodied and intense with high alcohol mouthfeel, 14.5%. Juicy with an amazing nose but a bit too alcoholic. (88/100)
