Monday, August 10, 2015 - Shows slight bricking, but it doesn't look as old as it reveals on tasting. Integrated fruit, plum and red currant jelly, a little leafy, old tobacco and musty leather. Tannins are resolved completely. This is surprisingly advanced. If you want a foursquare example of what an old cabernet of good but not great character tastes like, this is an exemplar. It's better than my tone suggests, but, sorry, I expected more.
Usually I think the WS reviews' drinking windows are all too brief, but they got it right this time. Drink up, because it's on the downslope.
