91 Points

Tuesday, July 19, 2022 - Bright and sweet blueberries and raspberries, dark chocolate, black pepper and toasted clove with a touch of leather on the nose. Lots of sunshine and ripeness popping out of the glass. This is rich and dense with mouth filling sweet fruits and savoury elements hidden behind the polished structure. Licorice and pepper filled the remaining full-bodied palate. A welcoming freshness emerged towards the end of the finish which has some bitter tannins. Some may find the fruits too ripe and residue sugar on the higher side. Proper aging will balance these. Still young and will need 3-5 years for the tannins to melt away, fruitiness to recede and integrate into the structure. This will provide at least 10 years of drinking pleasure thereafter. 91-93 pts.
