Saturday, March 28, 2020 - 100% Sangiovese. 14.5% alcohol. Maceration time of 18-20 days. A total of four years of ripening there of years in 25-50 and 75 hl oak barrels from Slavonia and Allier followed by at least 12 months bottle maturation.

Quite a dense power aromas with concentrated aroma of darker plums, cherries, exotic spices, mushrooms, leather and strong saltiness. Full bodied wine that is surprisingly available in the mouthfeel. Closes again at the finish with stronger darker notes of dark cherry, deep concentrated plum, dark raspberry, slightly dried berries, tough spice notes, leather, salt and a touch of espresso. The alcohol is there, but the acidity is so present that the wine is not perceived to be otherwise fresh. Firm tanninsZ Real power pack of a Brunello from Col d`Orcia that many will like with their forward-looking and tough style. Note - if you like leaner and more rustic Brunello is not this wine for you in this vintage. Anyway - Very good quality! 91 points. For now. (91-93 points)
