Wednesday, January 30, 2019 - This wine has a medium body, medium + tannin, medium - acidity, medium + alcohol and low sweetness. Visually the wine is a medium garnet with an orange hue on the rim. Notes of stewed strawberries, nutmeg, tobacco, spiciness and hints of eucalyptus on the nose. The palate had dark fruit, leather and pencil shavings. The weight of the wine in the mouth is intense and Coates the entire palate with fruity tannins. The finish is long and leaves a tartness in the mouth. Love these old Australian wines.
