Monday, June 6, 2022 - 13.5% alcohol. Superb defect-free cork with a hard wax top. The colour is pale gold and not quite limpid.
Very distinctive nose evoking pear and mostly pineapple, especially so after time in the glass; disconcerting but very seductive. The mouth is less exotic and certainly not flabby; good acidity, and a more floral than fruity sensation. No oak perceived.
Unlike any other Chablis that I ever had, and certainly interesting. This being my first encounter with this producer, I am not sure if the exotic nose is due to the vintage or if it is part of the house style; I could imagine getting tired of it after a while, and I would not bet on this wine making old bones.
